4. Surface Preparation

Proper surface preparation is crucial to achieve maximum performance:

1. Ensure substrate is clean, dry, and sound.

2. Remove dust, laitance, loose particles, oil, grease, and fungus.

3. Repair cracks >2 mm using polymer mortar or sealant.

4. Apply suitable primer for highly absorbent or dusty surfaces.

5. Allow primed surface to dry before applying PC-Sealcoat® 220.

5. Application Instructions

Coating System

1. Primer Coat:

   • Use recommended primer (0.2–0.3 kg/m²)

   • Allow to dry 2–4 hours

2. First Coat:

   • Apply evenly by brush/roller/spray

   • Consumption: 0.75–1.0 kg/m²

3. Second Coat:

   • Apply after first coat is tack-free

   • Consumption: 0.75–1.0 kg/m²

Total Consumption:

1.5–2.0 kg/m² to achieve proper waterproofing thickness.
