Which snap-off blade knife should you choose?

All three models take the same 18mm x 100mm blade, so spare blades fit every one of them. The real difference is the body, the blade steel and how many spare blades come in the pack.

For light packaging and site work, the THT511816 does the job at the lowest price. However, if you cut all day or need the blade to stay locked under pressure, choose the TG5121806. Its aluminium body resists twisting, the locking bolt holds the blade firm, and six SK5 blades are already in the box.

How to use it safely

Push the blade out only one segment at a time, because a long blade snaps sideways. Cut away from your body and keep the work clamped. To renew the edge, pull the worn segment into the snapper slot at the back of the handle and break it off cleanly. Never break a blade with your fingers.
